rihanna chris brown 2014
Chris Brown just gave Rihanna the boot on Twitter.
There are troubles in paradise again for Rihanna and her on-again-off-again boyfriend Chris Brown.
Things all started to deteriorate between the love birds over the weekend when Rihanna was spotted kissing up on a mystery man during her concert in New Jersey.
Rihanna also started following her old flame Drake on Instagram.
In retaliation, Chris Brown unfollowed Rihanna on Twitter and started following his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

These two definitely unfollow and follow each other often but we have never seen so much tension between them on social media.
Chris Brown will be hosting his birthday party next week so lets see if Rihanna will be in attendance.

I-Octane Talks Snoop Lion Legitimacy, Reggae Culture + Live Performance [VIDEO]

I-Octane 2014
I-Octane is among several reggae/dancehall stars who welcomes Snoop Lion to the genre.
Unlike Bunny Wailer, I-Octane feels its a good look for reggae to have someone as iconic as Snoop singer reggae music.

The “My Life” singjay was in the Hot 97 studio last week speaking with Cipha Sound where he opens up about Snoop Lion reggae transformation, how he gets the name I-Octane, the state of reggae music and more.
“I am a very energetic individual pertaining to music you know that’s how the name I-Octane came about,” I-Octane said. “Outside of that I am a very humble individual, always trying to stay positive.”
I-Octane says artists such as Snoop Lion coming into reggae motivates him to be more business minded about the music.
“Sometimes when I link up with other artists am always like look at what Snoop did, and people always out of different genre fusing their brand with reggae music and also make a good spin on reggae music itself. So I always say look at it from that perspective, we need to be more business minded. Come out of the little circle and try to think outside the box. So its a good look that a next individual can come and show what is missing.”
“I am not the one to look at him and say he is not real… but from the Jamaican perspective it seems like its just a business, because often times people come and say we are Rastas but at the end of the day its just a business. But you can’t box everyone because often times people come and they are real. But because people been through that situation over the years it takes a while to prove yourself to that particular group of people. I wouldn’t say Snoop is not a Rasta because its not about the hair and the image, its about whats within your soul.”

Geno Smith thought he should have been No. 1 pick in NFL draft, fires agents after draft...

Four days after Geno Smith slid out of the first round of the draft, the former West Virginia quarterback fired his agents due to his displeasure over his draft position, according to sources.

The Daily News has learned that Smith thought that he would and should be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Sources told the News that Smiths agents from Select Sports Group gave him no assurance of his draft position.

The Jets drafted Smith, who was atop Gang Greens quarterback rankings, with the eighth pick in the second round (39th overall), which didnt sit well with him. Smith cant hire another agent for five days.

Despite Smiths draft position, new general manager John Idzik made it clear that he still believes the rookie will be under the microscope.

If youre a first-round quarterback first-round any position the spotlight is a little bit brighter, Idzik said on ESPN radios Mike & Mike show on Tuesday morning. Him coming in as a second rounder, perhaps its a little dim, but being that hes in the New York market, hes at a high profile position, I think hes going to be center stage regardless.

Frank Alexander, Tupac's Bodyguard Is Dead. Did He Know Too Much???

Frank Alexander, Author, BodyGuard and TV Personality Passed Away
Apr 29, 2013
(Agoura Hills, CA)

Frank “Big Frank” Alexander passed away in his Murrieta CA home at approximately 4:45pm last night from a single gun shot.

Alexander was best known for his role as Tupac Shakur’s bodyguard and friend, who was present the night the rap star was shot. He went on to write the book “Got Your Back” and appeared in several TV shows and documentaries relating to the fatal shooting.

“I am getting this out there to head off rumors of the event. My best friend of 16 years passed away last night. I am waiting to hear on the details. When I do and it is the truth, I will let everyone know. Please respect his family and friends in this time of loss” said Richard Bond of Bonded Films, Alexander’s producing partner.

“Frank was one of the true believers that justice would come for his friend Tupac. We talked every day and I am at a complete loss as to how and exactly why this happened. Frank was a dear friend; we talked last Friday and he wanted to see his new grand-daughter born. This is a senseless and horrible occasion. And with his death, so might also go any hope of bringing Pac's killers to justice. Frank and Yak (Yafeu Fula) were the two closest witnesses to the shooting. I don’t get this.”

The circumstances surrounding his death have not been released and are still being investigated. He is survived by his daughter Vanessa and grandchildren (one is expected within the month.)

Anthony B is back and his fire is hotter than ever, in fact too hot for some folks
The reggae veteran drop a new single titled “Burn Iniquity” where he burns the government, the queen, the pope and what he deems as wrong doings.
Some politicians are already calling for the single to be banned, while there are mix reactions coming from reggae fans.
However, Anthony B says he refused to be silence.
This is what Anthony B said in a statement:
“If they want to ban it, fine. I want to maintain the integrity of my music. This message needs to get out. Now is not the time to water down the message. The people ah face terrible levels of poverty, rising crime, terrible inflation. The gunman dem a kill cops; people a suffer. We affi mek the fire bun Babylon, burn out all iniquity. I know that there are many who support that message and will play the song. My fire is a metaphorical fire to purge the demons out of our society, and mi nah waterdown the message just to get airplay.”
“We have to play our role in revitalising reggae as a potent medium for social agitation. It remains one of the few forms of expression through which one can protest against injustice, inequities, and evil. So dem a try mek Bun Iniquity into a next Fire Pon Rome, but mi ready fi dem because the truth must be told. A it alone can set us free as a nation.”
“Until even the poorest of us has access to the same rights to health, shelter, clothing, food, and education, then there will be no peace. Why can’t Jamaica provide a better standard of living for its people after so many years of Independence? Why so many guns coming into the country? Why the media a bombard us with images of bleaching and violence, and barbarism? Why ban a song that protests against iniquities and immorality?”
“I will not be silenced. The message is the only reason we do reggae music.”
Anthony B shook the Jamaican political stratosphere in 1996 with his single “Fire Pon Rome.”
The single has remained one of Anthony B’s biggest selling singles of his career.

Rumor: American Idol Giving Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey The Boot, J. Lo In...

Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey pic
The rumor mill is already in full swing as the end of this season of American Idol draws near.
According to reports, the shows producers will be axing both Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez is the rumored replacement for at least Carey.

“They considered everything,” a source told E! News“Including replacing just one and replacing both.”
Reports suggest that Jennifer Lopez is currently in negotiation with FOX for a return to the judges panel.
The producers of the show thought that Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey feud and diva attitude would be great for the show’s ratings, but it has been quite the opposite.

The producers reportedly love Nicki Minaj, but she has a slim chance of returning as a judge for next season.
“There will definitely be changes to the judging panel for next season,” sources said. “Fox thought the Nicki-Mariah contrast would make for ratings, but there is concern it is like nails on a chalkboard for middle-America viewers.”
Reps for American Idol are attempting to downplay the rumors.
Who would you want to see in the judges panel on American Idol next season?

Lauryn Hill Eyes Comeback, Launch New Label, Address Financial Woes...

Lauryn Hill comeback
Will we finally see a major comeback for Lauryn Hill?
Lauryn Hill escape prison temporarily earlier this when a judge postponed her sentencing for two weeks on tax fraud charges.

According to reports, the legendary Fugee singer owes the IRS $968,000 in taxes. If she fails to pay at least half that amount she may be heading to prison for up to a year.
Lauryn Hill is now taking steps to fix her financial problems after inking a new deal with Sony Music.
Under the new deal, Lauryn Hill will be launching a new label that will house all her upcoming new music and album.

Hill addressed the situation via her Tumblr in an open letter.
This is what Lauryn Hill wrote:
It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.
I’ve remained silent, after an extensive healing process. This has been a 10+ year battle, for a long time played out behind closed doors, but now in front of the public eye. This is an old conflict between art and commerce… free minds, and minds that are perhaps overly tethered to structure. This is about inequity, and the resulting disenfranchisement caused by it. I’ve been fighting for existential and economic freedom, which means the freedom to create and live without someone threatening, controlling, and/or manipulating the art and the artist, by tying the purse strings.
It took years for me to get out of the ‘parasitic’ dynamic of my youth, and into a deal that better reflects my true contribution as an artist, and (purportedly) gives me the control necessary to create a paradigm suitable for my needs. I have beenworking towards this for a long time, not just because of my current legal situation, but because I am an artist, I love to create, and I need the proper platform to do so.
The nature of my new business venture, as well as the dollar amount reported, was inaccurate, only a portion of the overall deal. Keep in mind, my past recordings have sold over 50,000,000 units worldwide, earning the label a tremendous amount of money (a fraction of which actually came to me).
Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything. I am one artist who finds value in openly discussing the dynamics within this industry that force artists to compromise or distort themselves and what they do, rather than allowing them to make the music that people need. There are volumes that could (and will) be said.
